Here on our farm, our goat babies are very well cared for. We work hard to keep them as healthy and happy as possible and treat them as part of the family.
Our goal is to produce not only healthy, CAE-free goats, but to carry in the herd good temperaments so that those interested in keeping goats as future milkers, pets, brush goats will be able to handle them easily. We practice CAE prevention on a regular basis by heat-treating the mother's colostrum and hand-feeding, disbud, and vaccinate with CD&T.
Some of our kids are raised and weaned by their mothers. For those kids that we pull (from the mothers that we milk), we hand-raise them by bottle.
